PSL - Helen Magnus | Grace Augustine --> I've been waiting for someone like you
Grace was furious.
They'd gone behind her back and hired a scientist. Not that she usually had anything against scientists - she was one, after all, or had been when she'd been human - but the Pandora Project was over, had been for almost a decade. What gave them the right to send someone here after everything that had happened, after the ultimatum she and Jake had given them?
She knew what they were thinking. No one had managed to come up with a cure for the virus and unless it was stopped, the whole of the Na'vi race would be wiped out. Grace had done what she could, but she was limited in her current form. They thought that maybe if they could grab humans from Earth, they'd have a chance to save what had become their own people. Of course, Grace wanted to save the Na'vi as much as they did, but she had no love for humans anymore.
She'd learned the hard way not to trust them.
At least she would have six years to prepare for the newcomer's arrival. Assuming the Na'vi lived that long.

Sorry this took me so long!
It was an opportunity she couldn't let pass.
Her work had been limited since she no longer had governmental support. While in many ways her actions had saved the Sanctuary, it had also hindered her ability to move so freely through the system. She had to be more careful, these days. Still, she had a few friends in high places, which is how she had managed to put herself before them when she learned of the virus, what they were seeking.
Six years. It seemed a long time to wait.
not like i have room to talk! also my grace voice is veeerry rusty
Whatever. It didn't matter to Grace. All she knew was that the Na'vi, the full-blooded ones, were having difficulty with this virus and they were expecting a scientist to arrive in the bunker where the human labs had once been any day now. It was some sort of small shuttle craft that would bring a human. Grace hoped they had the necessary oxygen equipment or they wouldn't last two minutes.
So, there she was, standing at a distance as she waited for the shuttle craft to land on the old runway, arms folded over her chest. She wasn't particularly looking forward to this. Humans.

Mask in place, she stepped onto the runway, walking toward her apparent escort.
My turn to take forever, sob. so sorry! muse wasn't cooperating
"I guess you're our scientist from the mother planet?" she asked, her voice dripping with sarcasm. Before the woman could respond, she added, "I'm Dr. Grace Augustine, in case you were wondering."
Yes, the good doctor appeared to be a Na'vi herself, though there were subtle differences in her genetic structure from a full-blooded Na'vi that only a scientist who had actually studied the species' DNA or the old Avatar Program reports would know. How much had this woman studied and what did Grace have to deal with now?

"I thought as much. Dr. Helen Magnus."
Helen is not in the least intimidated or offended by the woman's reception. Despite the size difference. She's dealt with far worse.

"This way." Grace indicated a path past the barracks. "I'll have to carry you once we get out past the former human buildings. It's hard enough to travel as a Na'vi. No human could make it."
Not even a scientist. After all, Grace had only been able to survive that far as an Avatar. She tried to keep her stride short and her pace slow for the human to keep up, but it was hard to remember. After a while, she decided it might be better to get this over with.
"So, how much did they tell you about what's going on here or are you coming in blind?"
