PSL - James Watson | Helen Magnus ---> We're glad for what we've got
It had been a long day for Helen, a very long day indeed, and she was exhausted after everything that had happened, the emotional toll of finally ending the Ripper case and dealing with Adam. She'd taken her time the next day, spent a lot of it downstairs or in the library, trying to keep herself occupied. But eventually, it became too much and she sought out the only other person she could: James.
Wherever he was, she needed to talk to him. Much as she wanted to deal with it herself, she knew she couldn't. He'd been helping her deal with John first and then the Ripper case, and so she knew, despite everything else, that she could rely on him.
Her footsteps were quiet, her skirts barely rustling as she approached his study first. If he wasn't there, she would check the library next. And if he wasn't there, she'd bury herself in the books. She could use the distraction.

"It is, darling. You are the most, extraordinary woman I have had the pleasure of meeting, you spoil me by merely allowing me in your bed."
no subject
"You flatter me, darling. I only offered what you deserve, what I have wanted of you. James, I... I care for you deeply."
If she didn't, she certainly wouldn't have been sharing a bed with him like this. Far too improper for anything less than a serious relationship.

"And I care deeply for you, Helen, and so I give you what you deserve even if you deserve so much more."
And it was the same with him to her, if he hadn't felt the same to her he never would have willingly shared a bed with her. "So darling, what are we doing today?"
no subject
"You have given me far more than I deserve," she whispered softly to him, pressing closer to him, even as her hand held onto his. She didn't feel like letting go just yet.
"I don't know... I had yet to really consider our options. I suppose we ought to look after the Sanctuary, check on the residents. After the morning rounds... I don't know. Did you have something in mind?"
no subject
"I wouldn't know darling," he whispered back but then stopped as she went on, tilting his head as he thought.
"Not particularly, my case load is none existent at the moment and the only thing I have of interest right now is you darling. Perhaps we could find something to do together?"
no subject
"I would like that, darling," she murmured softly, leaning up to gently kiss his nose. As she pulled back away, her eyes flicked back down to his lips for the briefest of moments. She couldn't help wondering what he might have in mind for their morning. They had a little time left before she, at least, would need to check on the residents. After that... she had no ideas at all as to what they might do and she didn't mind that for once.
Perhaps she would let him decide for them.
"I would like it very much if I could spend my days with you now."
no subject
Because it was easier then sitting here waiting really.
"You will always be able to do so, darling." He murmured and kissed her lips gently before pulling back. "Perhaps a walk? Or is there anywhere in particular you would like to visit?"

One of her hands lifted to cup his cheek so she could give him another good morning kiss. If he didn't decide to keep her there with him for a little longer, she would slide off the bed to grab a change of clothes and begin preparations for the day. Getting dressed and ready always took her a good amount of time, but in this instance she was looking forward to what the day would bring.
