PSL - Will Zimmerman | Abby Corrigan ---> For the rest of our lives
Abby had spent the last two days resting in one of the guest rooms in the Sanctuary. It still felt so strange to think of this place as the enemy's lair when she had never known anything but kindness from Magnus or her staff. Especially Will. In a way, Abby couldn't think of the Sanctuary as anything but what its name would suggest. That was just what her job thought of it as, never what she would.
She woke up slowly, her mind still barely on anything but what had happened a few days ago. She was still in a lot of pain, but it was slowly dissipating and Magnus said she'd be able to go back to work within the week. Or at least home. The more she thought about it, the less appealing going home sounded. Abby thought staying here with Will was much nicer, but she did have a job and it wasn't here. Somedays she wished she could work here, but the offer had never come. Maybe it was better that way.
Rolling over on the bed, she closed her eyes again and willed the pain to go away. She could really do with a cup of coffee or something to do, but there as nothing other than resting. Always resting.

Though he did insist on bring her food, and since the clock was ticking close to meal and medicine time, he got up and went to put together something for her. Most of all, he just wanted to see her face, considering it had been more than 20 minutes since he'd last checked on her.
Once an appropriate tray of food for someone who had just been through a major ordeal like hers was put together, Will set a little plastic cup of pain killers on the edge and headed to her room. His waiter skills were unpolished, but he managed to balance the tray in one hand and knock lightly with the other.
"Abby?" He said her name, and then quietly opened the door. Poking his head in, he looked towards her bed. "Are you awake?"
no subject
"I'm awake," she answered, just glad to see him. "Are you here to check on me or are you busy?"
no subject
"I'm not busy right now, so I wanted to come in and see you. And bring you that." He gestured to the tray before he took a careful seat on the edge of her bed, trying to sit as close to her as possible without disturbing her.
"How are you feeling?"
no subject
"Better," she answered honestly. "Still a little tired." She eyed the tray and the medicine on it, debating taking that and eating as soon as possible. "What's with this? Room service with a smile?"
no subject
Her last comment earned a soft laugh, "Well, you know, I only serve our VIP guests dinner in bed like this. So you should be honored. For anyone else I'd just slip a sandwich under the door."
no subject
"I'm glad I didn't get the sandwich under the door treatment," was her next response as she laughed in response. It hurt a bit, so she tried to keep it quiet in an effort to not break one of her stitches. Will would fall over and Magnus would worry. She didn't want that. Instead, Abby picked up her utensil and started in on eating. One-handed of course. She wasn't going to let go of his hand unless she had to.
"What did I do to deserve this kind of treatment? Don't tell me Magnus ordered it," she teased.
no subject
Will rested his chin in his free hand for a moment and simply watched her, the corners of his mouths turned up in a small smile. He almost let go of her and let her eat properly, but she didn't make any moves to take her hand back, so he left it alone.
"Oh yeah, she totally forced me into it." To be honest, he hadn't spoken much to Magnus the last two days, but Abby didn't need to know that. He leaned closer, "No other reasons. Nope."
no subject
Will's response made Abby smirk and make a face at him. Swallowing her bite, she leaned over to rest her elbow on the tray and her chin in her hand. "Really? No other reasons at all? Couldn't be that you missed me? Or was that Magnus' idea, too?"
no subject
He pursed his lips and tilted his head back and forth like he was thinking. "Hmmmm." He let silence hang in the air for a few moments before he finally met her eyes again. "I guess it could have something to do with you being awfully cute."
And there was a cheeky little smile along with that.
no subject
She raised her eyebrows mockingly at him as he considered his response. A blush colored her cheeks when he finally gave it and she ducked her head. "I don't think so." Stop teasing her, Will!
no subject
But those were thoughts for another time. Right here, right now, he just wanted to focus on Abby.
"Hmm? Are you saying I'm wrong?" Will reached out and lightly touched her chin with his fingertips, tilting her face back up. "Because I'm pretty sure I'm spot on in this case." He didn't even give her a chance to argue as he leaned in, closing the distance between the two of them so he could kiss her.
no subject
Argument valid. Abby gave in, squeezing his hand as she returned the kiss. He was always so good at saying just the right thing to reassure her or doing the right thing to distract her. This was no different and she relished it.
"I think our argument is invalid here," she finally answered before she kissed him again. Moving the tray a little more, she tugged him closer, clearly indicating that she wanted him next to her. He made a good pillow after all.
no subject
He chuckled and shook his head, but returned the second kiss with pleasure. And when she tugged at him, he moved, shifting so he was sitting beside her comfortably. If she wanted to rest against him, he was happy to play the human pillow for a while.
"Just go ahead and make yourself comfortable." He assured her.

Maybe after this mess with SCIU and Addison finally ran its course...
"Don't mind if I do," she murmured, leaning against him as she made sure she wouldn't upset the tray on her lap. At least with him next to her, she could use both hands to eat now. "You're a good pillow, you know. We should do this more often."
no subject
And then for a moment he was quiet, thinking about sitting with her like this every day, as much as possible. The idea was so appealing that he felt himself grinning without even really meaning to. There was still so much to deal with with the Sanctuary, and that would have to take priority for now.
But that didn't keep his mind from wandering to the idea that he did, in fact, have his mother's engagement and wedding rings sitting somewhere in his bedroom. And that he at some point, did want to put them to use.

Curled up on the pillows, she watched him, hoping he would stay with her on the bed, at least for a little bit. For a few minutes, she could be selfish. If she'd known what he was thinking, she would be more than willing to encourage his thoughts. She liked the idea of marrying him someday, too.
"I guess you have a lot to do today, now that I've had food."
